Castel Gandolfo Lake Kayak and Swim Tour

This is the perfect way to spend a day to relax and take in some beautiful scenery, especially if, like us, much of your trip is spent in the centre of Rome. My partner had been contacted after the booking was made and all questions we had were promptly answered prior to arrival. This allowed us to organise ourselves accordingly and was greatly appreciated. Our fabulous guides, Alex and Andrea, collected us from the metro station, which was very easy to get to. They made us feel very welcome, chatting on the way to the lake. We arrived and had a tutorial. I had never kayaked before and the tutorial was very clear and insightful, explaining technique and safety measures. On the lake, the guides were highly considerate, maintaining a comfortable pace and stopping regularly to inform us about the vibrant history of the area, the lake and wildlife which inhabit it. It is clear that Alex and Andrea are very passionate about what they do, and the area in which they live and work. It was a joy to listen to them speak on both. We stopped to have some pizza for lunch which was kindly provided and was delicious. At this point we also had the opportunity to swim should we have chosen to. The whole day was very well organised and ran seamlessly. We highly recommend booking this tour. We would like the thank Alex and Andrea for their kindness and hospitality on what will surely be one of the most memorable days of our trip.

The kayak trip was a birthday present to my daughter. She loved the activity: the guide was very kind, the surroundings were beautiful and we were even served pizza and cake during a quick stop. The water was super clear, but we did not go swimming because it was a bit windy that day. When in Rome, we really recommend this kayak trip to spend some hours in this peaceful nature. Wonderful Honeymoon Adventure! Arturo greeted us by name and explained how to use the kayaks before letting us enjoy our private time on the lake. We scooped up a handful of black sand to take home as a memento of our fabulous time here.
