The Shire Hotel

The perfect position for our 5 day Rome visit,

For me the best thing about the Shire hotel was its location, it is situated near the Termini station and the beautiful park, which I enjoyed running round. It’s an easy 20 minute stroll to the main attractions (definitely not an hour as per the reception info!) and right next to a Metro stop should choose to use it. I walked everywhere and just soaked up the atmosphere and the architecture. It’s such a beautiful and lively city - spoilt only by the vast amounts of tourists! (Which I was one of!) The hotel served a lovely breakfast and my room was perfect for one person, and very quiet. I didn’t have a view of anything except buildings but I requested a quiet room so assumed I was given that one as it faced off the road. The hotel is situated on the first floor so it was hard to tell what the weather was doing without running down the stairs and outside but I imagine in summer you wouldn’t need to do this as it’s just hot! I loved the bright white hotel decor and would definitely recommend.

Modern comfortable clean room

Perfect location, comfortable room, decent breakfast. Perfect daily cleaning of the room, wonderful Madalena at the reception, she is an example of hospitality worker.

The hotel was very clean and the rooms were very spacious. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was basic but delicious. Location was perfect.

Loved where this property was located. Close enough to walk to pretty much everything and located in a nicer area! Very clean and friendly staff. Room was very nice and had great bathroom.

Great location with fast access to the city center and directly besides the Borghese park; hotel with a real boutique character; staff was flexible for our check-in
