Hotel Vespasiano

The persons at the front desk were really good. You don't find such lovely people nowadays. The checkin time for the hotel is 15:00 but on the day of my checkin at 12:00 the lady at the reception arranged a room for me by 12:20! I didn't event request for the room. On the night before my checkout, the gentleman at the reception asked me when I would like to have breakfast next day, when I said I won't be there during breakfast since I am checking out early. After hearing this he arranged 2 bags of food items for us. I didn't even ask or expect! Every single person working at this hotel was so good! The hotel room was spacious, the bed was comfortable. To top it off was the location...very close to Vatican museums and Ottaviano Metro station. I will come to this hotel again and again!

While this small hotel is highly recommended and is just a short walk from St Peter's, it is very quiet and the area isn't as busy or crowded as across the Tiber. The rooms are well appointed and very comfortable. Staff are excellent and there's 24 hour reception. Good restaurants and bakery nearby. 10 -15 minutes walk to the river. 5 minutes walk to the Metro and a busy bus stop. Can't comment on the breakfast.

It was overall clean, with small exception. Great location.

The staff is friendly, the breakfast is great and the location is excellent. The bidet in the bathroom is a nice bonus

Once they moved us to a room that was not on the street, it was much quieter. The room itself was lovely and more spacious.

The location of the hotel is excellent. A few hundred meters from the Vatican. Excellent pizzerias nearby. The staff is very nice. It is possible to ask for transfer, the hotel 's own driver took us from the airport to the hotel. He was very polite and he helped us with our luggage. The breakfast room is a quite small, we were advised of this beforehand and had the option to choose what time we wanted to have breakfast, so this was also done smoothly. No one should expect a buffet. The staff brought breakfast to the table separately, which at first was quite little, but luckily you could ask for what you ran out of and it was brought without a problem. After check-out it was possible to leave the suitcases at the hotel and they did not charge anything.
